A safe place that provides each child with the environment  that fits his/her needs...

Pediatric Occupational Therapy Facility

Child & Parent Friendly Environment

In Diane’s early years she was excited and fascinated by the creativity of using occupations to promote healing, health and wellness with children. Her dream was to create a special environment unlike those of an institutional setting she spent her early years in. As the sole proprietor of the practice, Diane has created that haven for children and parent alike. There isn’t a child who comes through those doors who isn’t excited about the possibilities of the day in this warm, well thought out private facility.

Specializing in play therapy, Diane has strategically designed the rooms to specifically make the child feel as though they are at “gym” or “play center”. They are enthused and delighted to attend sessions with Diane. Sometimes they don’t want to leave! The child gets one on one attention, has a blast, and learn. What more can a child ask for?

While the child is working (playing) with Diane, there’s a comfortable “parent lounge” waiting room with wifi. Parents work and make calls in the privacy of their own space. No one skips a beat and the child benefits, which means the parent benefits.

The Importance of a Pediatric Occupational Therapy Office ?

xoxot - The Pediatric Occupational Therapist office is a main attraction and tool for a child who may attend pediatric occupational therapy. Diane has taken her years of experience and knowledge to create comprehensive and  intricate elements of each therapeutic environment of her office.

In a controlled area of a multi-sensory environment, there are countless types of equipment that trigger various senses. Touch, pressure, hearing for example. The sensory room is used to teach, stimulate, relax and/or stimulate. This can be a multi-sensory experience or a single sensory lesson. Each setting is controlled  with light, sound, play, textures, etc. depending on the day the goal of the moment.

The single most important factor of XOXOT office is to create an individualized interaction with each child. She has multitude of toys, equipment, apparatuses at hand to accommodate any child and any spontaneous episode that may occur.

Parent Lounge - Waiting Room - Rest Haven or Room with a View.

xoxot - Most of us are busy with work, family, or household obligations. Taking more than an hour to take care of the needs of your child is not only most important but can be a costly prohibitor of time for some.  xoxot - Diane has created a very comfortable "Parent Lounge" where a parent or caregiver can log into WIFI, answer emails, have conference calls, or maybe take a cat-nap which is good for the soul!
