How Does Your Engine Run?

This program is to teach a child to be aware and "alert" when and how to implement self-regulation.  To help shift this self-regulation into gear, (pun intended),  the strategy  chooses lessons and fun activities which encourages children to  recognize, control, and self monitor  various levels of alertness which is appropriate to any type situation that may arise in their life.

The basis of this program uses various operational functions of a car engine as an example for the emotional and psychological triggers which the child may need to work on. For instance, sometimes we go fast, sometimes we go slow...sometimes we are in the middle lane and need to move over, we step on the brakes to stop... etc.
