Interactive Metronome is unique method and much often used training tool in occupational therapy. This method challenges thinking and movement simultaneously, in turn, helps to synchronize the body's internal time clock. Your body and brain's ability to keep time is fundamental to everything we do, including the way we think, talk, and walk. Timing is crucial for the mind’s billions of neural networks to communicate efficaciously and efficiently. It’s one of the keys to success in overall daily performance and routine.

Interactive Metronome was developed in the 1990’s by Jim Cassily. His first trainees were children with severe motor skill developmental. He went on to work with professional athletes “Getting into their Zone” during athletic events.

His research and continued studies demonstrated by improving timing and motor coordination there was an increase in attention, changes in reading fluency and changes in language processing.
