Processes & Services

  • Evaluations and Assessments are a comprehensive one on one process related to referral concerns. Areas of assessment may look at foundational skills in a the areas of fine motor, gross motor, visual perceptual skills, visual motor skills and or sensory processing skills. Standardized tests that could be used in clinic include the PDMS-2, Bruininks - Oseretsky Test of Motor Proficiency, VMI, SCRIPT, Visual Motor Free, SPM, Sensory Profile Questionnaire, and Interactive Metronome Long Form.

  • Direct Therapy Services — Based on child's Evaluations or Assessment. I will provide a tailored program to meet your child's areas of need. Some possible treatment approaches may include Sensory Integration, Therapeutic Listening, Perceptual Enrichment Program (PEP), Alert Program, Zones of Regulation, DIR Floor-time, Handwriting Without Tears, Sensory Feeding approaches, Interactive Metronome, Therapeutic Handling, Level 1 and 2 Cranial Sacral and Acupressure points.

  • Consultations/Collaborative Services — Available to families, care givers, teachers, speech therapists, school districts, and other professionals serving the pediatric population. Types of consultations/collaborations could be;

  • -observations of a child with review of needs

    -in depth review of records/reports and parent meeting to help determine current needs with service provider suggestions

    -preschool suggestions for play areas and classroom layouts,

    -home play environments

    -party planning ideas for children with and without sensory processing needs

    -off site visits

  • -In depth written home treatment plans tailored to the child’s needs

    -team phone collaboration or meetings for children in OT services.

​

  • In-Service Trainings — To Schools and Parent Groups

PDMS-2: Peabody Development Motor Skills Test. Tests Gross Motor, Fine Motor and Total Motor Skills of the child.
​
VMI Testing: aids Pediatric Occupational Therapist to assess the the child's ability to integrate their visual and motor skills. 
 
Bruininks - Oseretsky Test of Motor Proficiency: An extraordinarily precise testing and measurement process process using Eight sub tests to test child's motor skills.

Visual Motor Free: Allow the pediatric occupational therapist to assess the visual perceptual responses without a motor response.
​
SPM: Standard Progressive Matrices. A non-verbal assessment of a child's intelligence and reasoning.
​
Sensory Profile Questionaire: This is a questionaire that is completed by those who are around the child. The parents or caregivers for example.
